Blankets are useful and make great decoration. To warm yourself on the couch or in bed, for your children to play on, to use for a picnic. Versatile and good looking.

The blankets are made of two layers with a rim around the edge. The fabrics used for the blankets below are for example wool, soft flannel, cotton or fleece. For the rim of some of the blankets I used fabric which I brought from Malawi, it’s African batik. It is possible to make a blanket with padding between the layers for extra warmth, this might be nice if it would just be two layers of cotton (see also the baby blankets). The blankets can come in any size. Prices between 45-85 euro.

Patchwork quilt blankets, a whole different story. Cotton top fabric, sateen cotton or regular cotton bottom layer, middle batting of bamboo fiber for softness and warmth (but airy in warm climate). Here some examples:
